CFB Week 9 Predictions
We are in for a treat Saturday, with an unreal slate of games. Here are my predictions for some of the most exciting matchups this weekend.
#24 Navy vs #12 Notre Dame (ND -13.5) 12:00 pm EST
Navy Beats Notre Dame 21-20
Now, I’m going to be real; this prediction has no thought, logic, or reasoning behind it. This is strictly based on the fact that I love Navy and hate Notre Dame. But sometimes that’s all the reasoning you need to predict a game. Give me America’s team all day long.
#15 Alabama vs #21 Missouri (Alabama -17) 3:30 pm eST
Prediction: Alabama beats Missouri 42-28
Both of these teams’ seasons are on the line Saturday. With a loss both teams’ playoff hopes are out the window, so expect both the Tide and the Tigers to be fired up. Alabama comes into the game off to back-to-back losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee, something that hasn’t happened since 2009. Missouri had massive expectations at the start of the season and hasn’t come close to living up to the hype. Both these squads have been disappointing to their fan bases, but on Saturday they can right the ship. I think Mizzou hangs around in the first half, but the talent gap between these teams shows in the second. Give me the Tide in Tuscaloosa
#25 Vanderbilt vs #5 Texas (Texas -18.5) 4:15 PM EST
Prediction: Texas beats vanderbilt 35-6
Look the Vanderbilt hype train has been fun the last couple of weeks, but we’re talking about a team that barely handled business vs Ball State last weekend. I think the Vanderbilt crowd keeps them in the game maybe for a quarter, but Texas ends up pounding them, in a major bounce-back game after suffering a loss to Georgia.
#14 Texas a&m vs #8 LSU (Texas a&m -2.5) 7:30 PM EST
Prediction: Texas a&m beats LSU 42-38
This game should be back and forth battle, and if A&M wants to win, they are going to have to put up points vs the high-powered LSU offense. Good thing for them, LSU has a horrendous defense, so it’s going to come down to which of these teams can score last. Both these teams sneakily haven’t a single game since they both suffered close week 1 losses and are the top two ranked teams in the SEC right now. It should be a fun game between these two but I think the Aggies come out on top at home.
