CFB Week 11 Predictions (Upset Week)
Week 11 is here, and the games are more meaningful than ever. The slate is a good one, and I think we are going to see some major upsets this week. Here are my predictions for some of the top games going on this weekend.
#17 Ole Miss vs #2 Georiga (UGA -2.5) 3:30 pm EST
Prediction: Ole Miss beats Georgia 31-28
Yeah, I said it. Ole Miss is going to beat Georgia at home this weekend and launch themselves back into the playoff race. Georgia has not looked like the unbeatable wagon we’ve seen them be for the past few years so far this year. They have struggled against teams like Florida and Kentucky and lost to Alabama, who certainly isn’t as good as they’ve been in recent years. Ole Miss is coming off a dominating offensive performance, where QB Jaxon Dart had arguably his best game of the season against Arkansas. That information along with the fact that Vegas has this as only a 2.5-point spread leads me to believe that Ole Miss has a fighting shot. Give me the Rebels at home.
Texas tech vs #20 colorado (colorado -4) 4:00 pm EST
prediction: Texas Tech beats Colorado 52-49
Colorado has surged back after a slow start to their 2024 season. They’ve notched some impressive Big 12 Wins and found their way back into the top 25. However, I don’t think there is a more explosive offense in the Big 12 than Texas Tech. Colorado has a weak defense to begin with, and if you put them up against this offense, they’ll struggle. I got this game as a back-and-forth old-fashioned Big 12 shootout, and I think the home team comes out on top. Texas Tech upstates Colorado.
#15 Lsu vs #11 Alabama (Alabama -2.5) 7:30 pm ESt
Prediction: Lsu Beats Alabama 31-28
Death Valley is probably the toughest place to play at night. You couple that with the fact that Alabama is coming to town, and it gets even tougher to play at. These fans are going to be loud, and that stadium is going to be rocking. If either one of these teams wants to see the first-ever 12-team CFB playoff, they have to win this game. I think, on paper, these teams are fairly similar, but again, I’m not betting against LSU in Death Valley. Give me the Tigers in an upset to ruin the Tide’s season.
Utah vs #8 BYU (BYU -3) 10:15 pm EST
Prediction: Utah Beats BYU 28-20
BYU has all the pressure in the world on their shoulders after Iowa State lost last week, and the Cougars took complete control of first place in the Big 12. Utah came into the season with huge expectations and has dealt with injuries amongst other things which have them sitting at 4-4 on the season. I think the pressure becomes too much for the Cougars and Utah upsets them at home, giving them their first loss of the season.
