Colorado Fall camp review

Written BY SKO BUFFS DAILY

The Colorado Buffalos 2024 revamped team is a week and a few days into fall camp. You can just feel the difference in the team morale lately. Here's a summary of the Colorado Buffaloes fall camp review so far.

1. The Buffs have brought in 42 new transfer commits, which could improve the team's performance.

2. New additions in the trenches have all been making strides early in fall camp, with players like Khalil Benson and Justin Nayers bringing attitude and leadership to the new and improved OLine. Then you got five-star freshman Jordan Seaton who looks like he is as advertised on the defensive line adds an elite talent like B.J. Green and Chidozie "Blocc Bully" Nwankw it's obvious the trenches were a focal point this transfer portal window.

3. New additions to the Running back room like Ohio State transfer Dallan  Hayden and Arkansas transfer Isaiah Augustave look to change the lack of running protection from last year.

4. The team is emphasizing the importance of being a player-led team holding each accountable and being coachable not being a cancer to the culture the team has created of "WE" before "ME".

5. The secondary which most would say is the best group on the team with additions like Oklahoma State’s stand-out corner DJ McKinney also adding elite talent like Preston Hodges transfer from Liberty, hard-hitting safety Arkansas transfer RJ Johnson. the dark horse seems to be the young breakout freshman Auburn transfer Colton Hood who has been balling out  in fall camp lately

6. There is a focus on the "iron sharpens iron" mentality, with elite athletes like Will Sheppard and Travis Hunter battling in practice daily to make each other better. Some would say the wide receivers and defensive backs are practicing against better talent than they will face in the Big 12

7. The team is looking to build on their 3-0 start and 4-8 finish in 2023, with an aggressive approach to rebuilding the roster through the transfer portal and recruiting trail.

Overall, the Buffs  appear to be making extensive progress in fall camp, with a focus on improving their rushing attack, protecting key players, and building a strong team culture shoulder to shoulder #skobuffs
